Cart and checkout

Elyvero includes a cart drawer and commerce components, while Shopify handles the actual hosted checkout and most payment processing.

Verify the cart

1. Add a product from the product page.
2. Open the cart drawer and check image, title, variant, quantity, and subtotal.
3. Increase and decrease quantity and confirm totals update.
4. Remove the item; ensure the empty-state UI is usable.
5. Confirm checkout includes the same product and selected variant.

Payment tests

Use Shopify’s documented test payment method or Bogus Gateway only in a development/testing environment. Do not run real card charges for theme testing. Tax, shipping, and payment availability are primarily store configuration concerns.

Checkout is not a theme page

Shopify checkout design is governed by Shopify’s checkout settings and platform limits. Do not assume changing the storefront theme fully changes the hosted checkout.
