Theme settings and navigation
Open Online Store → Themes → Customize, then select the theme settings (gear icon) or a specific section.
Branding
Section titled “Branding”Use the global settings to select your logo, optional inverse logo, mobile logo width, favicon, and social sharing image. Shopify will use the store’s name if a custom logo is not provided.
Header
Section titled “Header”Select Header in the left sidebar to configure the main navigation menu, search, account and cart links, layout, sticky behavior, available language/country controls, and icon sizes.
The header also supports blocks such as search, account, cart, and mega-menu items. A menu itself must first exist in Content → Menus (or Online Store → Navigation, depending on Shopify admin version).
Footer
Section titled “Footer”Configure footer logo, menu blocks, information text, social links, legal menu, payment icons, and localization controls. Link legal pages to the legal menu in Shopify; do not assume placeholders become policies automatically.
Save and verify
Section titled “Save and verify”After each meaningful adjustment, click Save, refresh a real storefront preview, and check desktop and mobile. Changes in the theme editor can look different when the store has no products or markets configured.
